The East Asiatic Company's old docks turned into an open-air riverside market. Go for the free shuttle boat from Sathorn pier at dusk rather than the shopping, which is ordinary.

The river-facing street one block from Yaowarat, lined with early-1900s trading shophouses. Old rice and herb warehouses have become the neighbourhood's coffee roasters and bars without the street losing its working-dock character.
